WorkBK is looking for a Senior Project Manager to work on an ongoing basis across multiple projects with our design and engineering teams. 

This is a contract / freelance position. 

Our rates range from $60 - $100 per hour based on your experience and portfolio.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • You will lead the product strategy across multiple product lifecycles and multiple product launches

  • You’ll partner closely with engineering, design, and business folks to find elegant but practical solutions to product challenges

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to project manage cross-functional growth initiatives from strategy to execution to optimization

  • Working experience with analytics (nice to have proficiency with SQL) - ability to confidently drive insights from large data sets

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

What you’ll do
We’re looking to hire an experienced customer support representative to join our fully distributed team. Customer experience is a core focus of our company, and the customer support representative will help extend this ethos by providing radically convenient, precise, and calm support to our community members. The support representative will also serve as a voice for our community, helping our team employ a user-centered design approach to product development.

This role will help lead these efforts by:
  • Responding to support requests from Zendesk, social media, and app reviews
  • Documenting, replicating, troubleshooting, and escalating product bugs
  • Developing best practices for improving our support processes and for documenting product feedback and enhancements
  • Helping inform our product roadmap and customer experience based on your customer interactions
  • Helping administer our user research studies by scheduling interviews, screening participants, taking notes, and coordinating participant incentives

Who we’re looking forThe ideal candidate for this role will enjoy a mix of direct interaction with customers, as well as building systems and processes to scale our support operations. We’re looking for someone who is self-sufficient, driven and nimble, yet collaborative, considered and empathetic.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years experience working directly with customers in a support role.
  • A strong knowledge of customer service software and product development tools, including ZenDesk, G-Suite, Slack, JIRA, Monday.com, and Notion.
  • Experience evaluating and implementing new tools and making recommendations for process enhancements to maintain an optimal support infrastructure.
  • Experience defining KPIs and measuring support-related activities.
  • Expert ability to communicate complex information to both lay and subject-matter experts in written form. 
  • Strong ability to synthesize disparate data into broad themes, and to present your findings to the team at a regular cadence. 
  • A natural ability to empathize with others, and to handle difficult situations with tact and composure. 
  • Transparent about what you don’t know, able to adapt quickly to change, and open to feedback in order to continuously grow and improve. 
  • Fluent in English

Bonus:
  • Experience working on a remote team spread across several time zones
  • Several years of experience working with a cross-functional team, including product management, design, engineering, and marketing
  • Have worked on a consumer-based mobile app 
  • Proficient in another major language such as Spanish

Salary
 - $28,000 - $35,000, depending on experience

We’re growing our team and are looking for an eagle-eyed flight searcher and content writer to join us. As our newest flight expert, your main tasks will be to research and write up engaging, witty, and informative cheap flight deals for our audience in the US and beyond. You’ll be working in sync with our customer support team to keep our customers happy and with our content marketing team to create content relevant to our audience. Most importantly, you’ll be helping our subscribers travel for less by notifying them of the best and cheapest flight deals around :)

This is a full-time role (37.5 hours) that will require some (limited/flexible) weekend work, so you’ll need to be somewhat flexible with your availability. You’ll probably be a good match if you:
  • Have a knack for writing (and enjoy it!) with wit and excellent grammar
  • Are interested in travel and finding bargain deals
  • Are a team player and good communicator
  • Know how to use Google Flights and other flight search engines
  • Have flexibility for limited weekend work when required

Senior Frontend Shopify Theme Developer

Lume is educating the world about body smells & changing the way people think about themselves between showers!  We need an experienced, self-starting coder to dream big and deliver a cutting-edge e-commerce experience to our amazing customers.

You’ll collaborate daily with our team senior team (analysts, business, ads, customer service, & marketing) to realize your vision and build an infrastructure that might include 3rd-party api integrations, Shopify apis, Shopify apps, and Shopify liquid theming, etc. to push the our website in fresh directions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Dream up website improvement ideas (big and small) and then build your team internally to realize those dreams.
  • Listen to our amazing Customer Support team for patterns and improvements to make to our Shopify customer experience.
  • Manage all aspects of our Shopify theme code design, development, and deployment workflow.
  • Delight our customers with fun and timely website features.
  • Continue building a culture of gettin’ stuff done within our WebTeam!
  • Ask tough questions & engage in rigorous debate with your teammates about the business side of Lume (pricing, fulfillment, features, margins, how/what/why/when, etc.).
  • Lead our web team.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Lots of coding experience in php, javascript, or other scripting language required. (You can’t fake this.)  Shopify experience is a plus!  
  • Much experience with asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX is required.
  • Demonstrated experience leading website feature development projects, rallying cross-functional teams to your banner, etc.
  • Experience with code deployment workflows (git, etc.).
  • Lots of experience with web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.
  • Mobile-first responsive design mentality!
  • A love of debugging and maintaining production level code and related workflows.
